SOLAT IS SURRENDER
IT IS MORE ABOUT OUR SELFLESSNESS IN THE MAJESTY OF ALLAH,
RATHER THAN OUR SELFISHNESS FOR THE MERITS FROM ALLAH.
RATHER THAN OUR SELFISHNESS FOR THE MERITS FROM ALLAH.
The Apostle of Allah is EGOLESS. Neither ridicule nor reverence affect him. Insult or praise affects only our Ego - individually or collectively.
Ego is the feeling of separation, pride, self-promotion and self-preservation - in other word, Selfishness.
Egolessness is Selflessness. This is the most formidable and empowering "Sunnah" of the Apostle of Allah that we have unwittingly overlooked.
Egolessness is the long forgotten premise of our daily "Solat" which is to keep us continuously grounded to our selflessness in the Majesty of Allah who is infinite, limitless and without boundary - the One & Only that Truly Exists ("Al Haqq") without any (partner) besides Him.
If during our Solat, we are still conscious of our 'presence' besides the One Who is without limits or boundary, then we are in what is referred to as the state of "Shirik” (separation) instead of submission.
Just as the safest place to hide a leaf is in the woods, the safest place for "Iblis" to hide and promote "Shirik" is in our services (Solat, Sedeqah etc) when it is performed not to serve Allah, but to serve our own ego, or selfishness.
Solat is surrender. It is more about 'selflessness' in the presence of Allah, rather than about our 'selfishness' for the provisions from Allah.
Verily, what can ever be more powerful, peaceful and fulfilling than to be selflessly absorbed in the essence, presence, benevolence, glory & majesty of Allah during the perfect "Solat".
And Verily, Allah knows best.
